Welcome to Too Truthful, a domain that is lovingly managed by Elle. She 'tries' to update it as often as possible, but often doesn't come close to what she'd like. Here you can find personal  blips from her everyday life, thoughts, and feelings, and a wide variety of content for you to create your own website. Enjoy!

Ack!

So it's been about a month, but a busy one at that!

First of all, a NEW(ish) layout! I loved the Ayumi one so much (and hated the previous green green greeny one) that I made another. I think I am falling in love with bold, bright colors. Well, I think that point is clearly demonstrated in this layout again. (:

I have been a reading MACHINE! I don't know why. I just have this current obsession with reading nonstop. Some of it is for school (I'm taking my senior English class over the summer) but a lot is just to keep my vocabulary up and spinning, and satisfying my inner bookwormishness as well. (; I've also been listening to a bucketload of music lately, so I decided that I should just add two little sections on the sidebar (and a future page for each) about the five most recent reads and song plays. That way I figure it might be a good way to help other people pick and choose something if they're stuck in the "I don't know what to choose!" phase of readers or music listeners block. Smart, huh?

I also have added three new fabulous affiliates and a talented hostee, so pop them a quick visit if you have the time.

Anyways, here's the story of the day. The other day I was working up at the service desk at my job, which let me tell you, is not pretty work. Although most of the time I enjoy it. I do like handling problems and dealing with people. But some days suck. Like a few days ago. This woman comes up to return, I don't know, almost 20 shirts. UM. Why doncha just buy the whole store and return it. I understand some stuff doesn't fit, but this was ridiculous. She bought the same shirt in the same size but all in different colors and styles. Fun. So anyways, when I went to scan the receipt to return the items, it said the items weren't on that receipt. It turns out the cashier who checked her out just put she had sixteen or so of the same shirt. So, even though the shirts were all in the same style, different colors or patterns have different numbers from each other. She was infuriated when I told her that this happened. I then calmly explained that I would return the one shirt that scanned fifteen times and it would credit the same amount back to her card. She kept screeching for a manager as I scanned in the items calmly. Finally, I asked her if the 120ish dollar refund sounded right. She was instantly quieted and said yes. So anyways, as I went to return it, the computer gave me two options: put it all one a single giftcard, or give her 121 dollars back on her visa and 1.50 in cash. I don't know why it made me give her some cash back, but it did. She FLIPPED and said it all had to go back on her card. I told her there was no way to override the computer, especially because of such a small amount in cash to be given back. Again, she screamed for a manager. I explained it three more times, and finally, by the third, said something like, "WHAT? A DOLLAR FIFTY? Oh, that's fine then." I was ready to pull my hair out by this point. I then finished the return and compared her purchase receipt to her return receipt twice to show her I didn't over or under credit her card. But that wasn't enough. For another ten minutes she demanded a pen and marked everything off herself, blocking the way of others. I just walked away, busying myself with other work at the desk, trying not to blow a gasket. At the end of her intense comparing, she raised her head, slammed the pen down and exclaimed that to her amazement I did everything right. I had to excuse myself to walk away from her for a moment or two or I knew I would have started yelling. I've never felt that way at my job, never so belittled or insulted, but I guess it just means I need to better myself and continue on to college to avoid job positions like those! UGH. ):

So, if you've read my freakishly long rant, congrats, I've probably ruined your day. Or maybe brightened it if you laughed at my situation. Hopefully the latter. But anyways, I hope everyone has a fab week. (:

Back up and around.

Yes, without any more further ado, I present a new layout! It's been forever, I know, and I really did like that last layout featuring Ayumi Hamasaki, but it was time for change. Although, I can't be too proud of myself. I am still addicted to using tables. One of these days I'm seriously going to sit down and teach my self proper coding with divs. It just works better and is more clean to me. Besides, like, everyone uses them, I swear it.

I went to do a hostee clean out.. and soon realized after a bit of browsing that everyone (and I seriously mean just about everyone) is practically inactive these days. So I sent out emails to those of you who need to update or what not, so try and reply asap. Thank you.

Anyways, today I went to the library to check out a book for my summer English class. I know it has rained a lot the past week or so, and I know they talked about flooding with the river that goes through my city. However, I didn't realize how bad it was until I took a drive downtown. Parking lots, streets, and backyards are completely submerged, and even if it doesn't rain it seems like it gets worse. I took a few pictures (I must have looked like an idiot, taking a picture of water) so maybe I'll post them on here, along with my new hamster (refer to last blog)!

I'll blog more about later, but thought I'd brief everyone on the update. Thanks so much. <3

Long time, no see.

Hey everyone, I'm soo sorry for the lack of updates this past month or so. I have been extremely busy and what not, but I hope to be back and pushing onwards soon.

I have been plugging away at school, trying to finish up a few classes before the beginning of June (I take all my classes online, for all of you who don't know). I still have two classes to finish, although I am pretty far into them. I'll probably just spend a few good long days at the library with my laptop and get them wrapped up. Then I start my new English class for senior year. I really want to graduate a semester early so I can work a bit before college, but we'll see.

I got a new hamster!! His name is Henry, courtesy of my boyfriends wonderful naming skills. Doesn't it just flow? Henry the hamster. Hahaha. He is such a brat, however. He is cooonstantly trying to escape from his cage (which I like to call a kingdom because it cost me so much money). Also, I swear, he is nocturnal. He sleeps every waking minute of the day, and then at night he goes five hundred miles per hour on his wheel he runs on. Usually it's around 3am and it keeps me up. I constantly yell "HENRY! KNOCK IT OFF!" and sometimes it works. Otherwise I need to disconnect his wheel. But that doesn't stop him.. then he tips it over and puts his bedding in it and plays like its a boat or something. But after all that, he's so cute and I love his spunky little personality.

I actually have some plans for Too Truthful. I hope to start a Too Truthful bbs. Weird sounding, I know, but I have lots of space (too much, to be exact) and I looove bbs's. I used to belong to one called Pixelated Pastels and I loved it. I haven't been at one I liked that much since then. Anyways, I'm not sure when, but sometime within the next month or two I hope to have the bbs up and going. I also am going to add a few new affiliates. I will be having a hostee clean up this week, because most of them have taken a long break like I have and I need to check if they plan on keeping their space. I have gotten some hosting applications, so I'll review those and what not and hopefully have some new family members!

Thanks so much for everyone hanging out in the mean time, I have so much to blog, but I'll add it later. I'll also check in with my lovelies soon too. xo!
